Tidio alternatives where the AI comes with the plan

Lyro, Tidio’s AI agent, is sold apart from every self-serve plan, and its 50 free conversations never renew. Six tools that include the AI in the plan price.

Published

Tidio’s Starter plan shows as $24.17 a month, and that price does not include Lyro, its AI agent. Lyro is an add-on from $32.50 a month, and the 50 free Lyro conversations a new account gets are never renewed.

Both prices were on Tidio’s pricing page on 20 September 2026, in US dollars, and every other vendor’s figures were read the same day.

Starter and Lyro are bought separately

The page opens with annual billing selected, so $24.17 and $32.50 are yearly rates quoted by the month. Click Monthly and Starter reads $29, and the first Lyro tier reads $39.

Lyro can be bought alone, beside free live chat. The page’s price data puts 200 Lyro conversations at $140 a month on monthly billing. A conversation is billable once someone on your team writes in it, and Lyro’s replies do not count as yours.

Fifty free Lyro conversations, once

Tidio’s article on the Lyro limit says every project gets a non-renewable quota of 50 Lyro conversations. After the fiftieth, Lyro stops working. The free plan’s 50 billable conversations of live chat are a separate quota, and that one renews.

At the limit you cannot read new messages

A banner appears at 80% of the monthly quota, Tidio’s article on the monthly conversations limit says. It normally resets on the first of the month. At the limit itself, incoming messages can no longer be answered, and their details are hidden until the quota resets or you upgrade.

We found no price for extra conversations on the self-serve plans. Tidio’s article on automatic upgrades says a new project is moved up a plan at 95% of a monthly quota. That covers live conversations, Flows visitors and Lyro conversations. It does not happen on the free plan, on yearly billing, or with the option switched off.

Tools that include the AI in the plan

Chatbase

A Chatbase agent that runs out of credits tells visitors it is currently unavailable. A reply costs 1 to 6 credits by model, Chatbase’s FAQ says. The free plan has 50 message credits a month for one member, on Chatbase’s pricing page. Hobby costs $40 a month and carries 700.

Chatling

A free Chatling account gets 200 AI credits a month and a single seat, and Starter is $25 a month for 1,750. At zero the widget stays on the page. A visitor who writes gets an error reading “Insufficient AI credits”, Chatling’s article on spent credits says. The plan prices are on Chatling’s pricing page.

DocsBot AI

DocsBot’s free plan runs one bot on 100 AI credits a month and asks for no card. Personal is $49 a month. Its limit is 5,000 credits. At the limit a visitor gets an error in place of an answer, unless automatic top-ups are on, DocsBot’s pricing page says.

SiteGPT

SiteGPT is the one here that keeps answering past its quota on a paid plan. The extra shows on your usage page, SiteGPT’s billing guide says. There is no free plan. The seven-day trial needs a card.

Starter is $59 a month on monthly billing, for 4,000 messages on the smaller model or 400 on the larger one. SiteGPT’s pricing page opens on the yearly rate of $39.

Deacon

Deacon is ours, and the AI is the whole product, so there is no agent to buy on top of a plan. It answers on your site from the pages and files you give it.

You start with 50 answers a month on one seat. Unlike Lyro’s free 50, they come back every month. Paid plans are a flat price with more answers and seats. Like Tidio’s, our pricing page opens on yearly billing, with a Monthly switch beside it.

At the limit Deacon stops answering and asks the visitor for an email address. You can still read every conversation in the dashboard. If the visitor left an address, your reply goes to them by email. No plan upgrades itself.

Deacon also keeps a record of your site’s page views and where visitors came from. Tidio’s analytics cover conversations and agents, and its live visitor list shows who is on the site at that moment. Deacon has none of Tidio’s ticketing or Shopify tools.

Crisp keeps the shared inbox

Crisp is the nearest swap for a team that works in the inbox all day. Its free tier has two seats and no AI. Mini is the first plan with the AI, at $45 a month for the workspace. A tooltip on Crisp’s pricing page says Mini’s $5 of credits cover around 90 automated conversations.

With pay-as-you-go off, spent credits mean the AI stops and new conversations go to your operators, Crisp’s article on AI billing says.

Tidio has ticketing, five channels and Shopify order tools

Tidio has a ticketing system on every plan, the free one included. Routing tickets by department starts on Plus. Plus starts at $300 a month, and usage is billed on top. On Shopify, your team can cancel an order, change a shipping address or refund a customer from the chat window, Tidio’s features page says. Those actions start on Growth.

Email, WhatsApp, Messenger and Instagram arrive in the same inbox as live chat, and Tidio’s page on multichannel says that is free on every plan. The free plan also allows 10 seats.

Try it on your own documentation

Add your help pages, ask it the question you know your docs cannot answer, and watch it say so.

The free plan covers 50 answers a month on one seat, and the paid plans are on the pricing page.
