Gorgias pricing plans, tickets and AI Agent fees

Gorgias’s four plans priced by the ticket, what counts as a billable ticket, what AI Agent adds, and a month worked out at 300 and 1,000 tickets.

By the Deacon team

Published

Gorgias pricing runs from $10 to $900 a month on monthly billing, and it’s set by how many tickets you get, not how many people answer them. Starter is $10 a month for 50 tickets, and Advanced is $900 for 5,000, or $750 a month billed yearly. AI Agent is priced on top, by the automated interaction. Each one costs $1.00 within your plan’s allowance on monthly billing, or $0.90 on yearly, and $1.50 past it, and it counts as a ticket as well. There’s no free plan, only a 30-day trial. We read every figure on Gorgias’s pricing page and help docs on 25 September 2026, in US dollars.

Deacon is ours. It’s an AI customer support agent that answers shoppers in seconds from your store’s own pages, such as your delivery, returns and size guides, and shows you what they ask most. It counts answers rather than tickets. There’s a free plan, and it needs no card.

Gorgias pricing plans

Every plan includes the helpdesk, with email, chat, social messages and a help centre, and it connects to Shopify and WooCommerce from the start. The plan sets how many tickets you get, what an extra one costs and how many people can log in.

The plans differ in more than tickets, by the comparison table lower on the same page. Starter gets community support and self-serve onboarding. Basic adds BigCommerce and AI Agent’s brand voice settings and actions, such as cancelling an order or applying a discount. Pro adds Magento, revenue attribution, audit logs and 1:1 onboarding, and Advanced a dedicated customer success manager, an SLA and white-glove onboarding. Every plan’s API allows 2 requests a second, and the custom plan 4.

Paying yearly takes about a sixth off, and Gorgias’s FAQ says the year is billed up front. It adds US state sales tax where the law requires it. Voice and SMS are add-ons priced by how much you call and text, from $30 a month for Voice and $20 for SMS, or $25 and $17 a month billed yearly.

What counts as a billable ticket

Gorgias bills a ticket for any conversation that gets at least one message from your helpdesk, whether a person, AI Agent or an automatic Rule sent it, by its billing guide. A ticket can come in by email, chat, a contact form, Facebook, Instagram or WhatsApp, and one ticket covers the whole thread, however many messages it takes. Some things never make a billable ticket.

  • A message nobody on your side replies to.
  • Tags, notes, a new assignee and other changes that send nothing to the customer.
  • A reply you send directly on Facebook or Instagram instead of from the helpdesk.
  • Newsletters, spam and auto-responders, which Gorgias filters out.

Two rules can add tickets you might not expect. A conversation that picks up after a quiet spell becomes a new ticket, after more than 3 days on chat, SMS or a call and more than 10 days on email, and it’s billed if your helpdesk replies. And the light chat campaigns every plan can run, up to three of them, cost nothing until a visitor replies, when the reply becomes a chat ticket.

If you don’t know how many tickets to expect, ticket volume sets out Gorgias’s own figures for tickets per 100 orders, by kind of shop.

What happens when you go over

Your helpdesk keeps working past your plan’s tickets, and each extra one is charged at your plan’s rate, $0.40 on Starter and Basic and $0.36 on Pro and Advanced. Gorgias’s billing guide gives its own example. A plan of 300 tickets for $60 a month that uses 302 comes to $60.80.

Gorgias says it watches your usage and recommends a higher plan when that would cost you less than overage. You can also raise a limit yourself from the Billing & usage page inside Gorgias.

Gorgias AI Agent pricing

AI Agent is Gorgias’s AI, and it’s billed apart from the helpdesk, by the automated interaction. The pricing page shows it with every plan, with an allowance that comes with the plan, and each interaction past the allowance costs $1.50 on every plan.

The allowance works out at $1.00 an interaction on monthly billing and $0.90 on yearly, which is what the pricing FAQ quotes. The comparison table lower on the page lists $1.00 on Starter, $0.90 on Basic and Pro and $0.85 on Advanced, though Advanced’s own card works out at $0.90.

An automated interaction is a customer request resolved with nobody on your team involved, by AI Agent or by another automation such as Flows or Order Management. If someone on your team replies within 72 hours, it’s charged only as a ticket. AI Agent answers on email and chat.

An interaction AI Agent settles is billed twice. Gorgias’s pricing FAQ says “Each AI Agent interaction also counts as a helpdesk ticket and is billed accordingly.” Its billing guide sets out the cases for a plan with AI Agent.

  • AI Agent answers a ticket and doesn’t hand it to a person. You pay a ticket fee and an automation fee.
  • AI Agent answers and then hands the conversation to your team. You pay only the ticket fee.
  • A Flow, Order Management or Article Recommendations settles the request with no human involved. You pay only the automation fee.
  • A shopper replies to AI Agent’s opening message from search assist or AI FAQs, and it finishes the conversation. You pay both. A shopper who ignores a search assist message costs nothing.

AI Agent needs a Shopify store connected to Gorgias, by its set-up guide. From Basic, its actions can cancel an unfulfilled order, edit a shipping address, remove or replace items and reship a lost or damaged order for free, by its Shopify Actions guide. Accounts created before 28 May 2025 that haven’t taken up AI Agent’s Shopping Assistant skills may still be on legacy pricing, where a ticket counts as a helpdesk ticket or an automated interaction, never both. Zendesk vs Gorgias and Tidio vs Gorgias set this meter against Zendesk’s and Tidio’s, and AI help desks sets out how other helpdesks bill their AI.

What a store pays at 300 and 1,000 tickets a month

These months are our arithmetic from Gorgias’s pricing page, before sales tax. A conversation AI Agent settles is still one of your tickets, so the ticket counts include them. How many it settles, 100 of 300 and 300 of 1,000, is our assumption.

300 tickets, all answered by your team

Plan
Basic

Billed yearly
$50

300 tickets, 100 settled by AI Agent

Plan
Basic with AI Agent, and 70 extra interactions at $1.50
Billed monthly
$90 + $105 = $195
Billed yearly
$77 + $105 = $182

1,000 tickets, all answered by your team

Plan
Basic, and 700 extra tickets at $0.40
Billed monthly
$60 + $280 = $340
Billed yearly
$50 + $280 = $330

1,000 tickets, all answered by your team

Plan
Pro
Billed monthly
$360
Billed yearly
$300

1,000 tickets, 300 settled by AI Agent

Plan
Pro with AI Agent, and 110 extra interactions
Billed monthly
$550 + $165 = $715
Billed yearly
$471 + $165 = $636

1,000 tickets, 300 settled by AI Agent

Plan
Basic with AI Agent, 700 extra tickets and 270 extra interactions
Billed monthly
$90 + $280 + $405 = $775
Billed yearly
$77 + $280 + $405 = $762

At 300 tickets, Basic is the plan to be on. Starter would cost $10 plus 250 extra tickets at $0.40, or $110, and it’s monthly only.

At 1,000 tickets with no AI, Basic plus overage is $20 cheaper than Pro on monthly billing and $30 dearer on yearly. The point where Pro wins is about 1,050 tickets a month on monthly billing and about 925 on yearly.

With AI Agent, the allowance matters more than the ticket count. Pro includes 190 interactions against Basic’s 30, so a store with 1,000 tickets whose AI settles 300 a month pays $60 less a month on Pro billed monthly, and $126 less billed yearly. Every extra interaction the AI settles adds $1.50 on either plan, so the better it works, the higher the bill.

Deacon, for the questions your store’s pages already answer

Gorgias’s price is built for a helpdesk, where every conversation is a ticket and every question the AI settles is charged again. If most of what shoppers ask is already on your delivery, returns and product pages, Deacon answers it for you, in seconds, at any hour and in the shopper’s own language. It goes into your theme as one script tag, and Shopify AI chatbots shows where it goes.

When your pages don’t cover a question, Deacon says it doesn’t know rather than guessing, and asks for the shopper’s email. You’re emailed when they leave it or ask for a person, and the reply you type in the dashboard appears in their chat while it’s open.

Each question your pages missed gets an Answer this button, and every answer you write becomes part of what Deacon knows, so it needs you less as time goes on. Topics group what shoppers ask, count the people behind each question and label most of them, so you can see which page to fix first.

Deacon’s plans count answers, the replies it writes on your live site, and every feature is on every plan. Free is 50 answers a month and 1 seat, with no card and no end date. Starter is $50 a month, or $40 a month billed yearly, for 1,000 answers a month and 3 seats. Growth is $150 a month, or $120 a month billed yearly, for 4,000 answers a month and 10 seats. A conversation takes about 2 answers, so Starter covers about 500 conversations a month and Growth about 2,000.

Nothing is billed past your plan’s answers, and no plan upgrades itself. There’s no “powered by” line to pay to remove.

Questions about Gorgias pricing

Does Gorgias have a free plan?

No. There’s a 30-day free trial with every feature and no payment details, by its pricing FAQ and its help centre. During the trial you can send at most 20 outbound email messages a day, 150 a week and 600 in all, and you can’t create a help centre. If you don’t move to a paid plan, Gorgias deletes the account and its data after 90 days.

How much does Gorgias cost a month?

On monthly billing, from $10 on Starter, for 50 tickets and 3 seats, to $900 on Advanced for 5,000 tickets, or from $40 to $1,430 with AI Agent. Billed yearly, Basic is $50 a month and Advanced $750. A store with 300 tickets a month and no AI pays $60 on Basic.

How much does Gorgias AI Agent cost?

$1.00 an automated interaction within your plan’s allowance on monthly billing, $0.90 on yearly billing, and $1.50 each past the allowance. Starter and Basic include 30 a month, Pro 190 and Advanced 530. Each interaction also counts as a ticket.

Does Gorgias charge per user?

No. Gorgias charges by the ticket. Starter has 3 seats, and Basic, Pro and Advanced have room for 500.

Can I pay for Gorgias monthly?

Yes, on every plan. Starter is monthly only, and Basic, Pro and Advanced can also be paid yearly, up front, for about a sixth less.

Can Deacon replace Gorgias?

For a store whose messages are mostly about products, delivery and returns, and whose pages already answer them, yes. Deacon answers those on your site and brings you the conversations that need a person. It can’t replace Gorgias for orders. It never sees an order, takes no actions in Shopify, declines questions about a shopper’s own order, and has no ticketing, email inbox, social channels or phone. Gorgias alternatives compares the helpdesks that do handle orders.
