Freshdesk pricing plans per agent, and Freddy AI

Freshdesk’s Growth, Pro and Enterprise prices per agent, what Freddy AI sessions and Copilot add, and what a team of one to three pays, read 25 September 2026.

By the Deacon team

Published

Freshdesk pricing is per agent. Growth is $19 an agent a month billed yearly, or $23 month to month. Pro is $55 or $66, and Enterprise is $89 or $107. Freddy AI is billed on top. Every plan comes with 500 Freddy AI Agent sessions once per account, then sessions are $49 for each 100, and Freddy AI Copilot is $29 an agent a month billed yearly, or $35 monthly, on Pro and Enterprise. We read every figure on Freshworks’ own pricing page, help centre and price list on 25 September 2026, in US dollars.

There’s no free plan that lasts. Every account starts with a 14-day trial of Enterprise, and a Freshdesk account can then move to a Free Program for up to 2 agents, which ends after 6 months.

Deacon is ours. It’s an AI customer support agent for startups where a founder still answers support. It answers your customers on your site in seconds, from your own docs, and shows you what they’re stuck on and what they want next. There’s no helpdesk to run and no pack of sessions to top up, and the free plan needs no card.

Freshdesk pricing plans

Freshdesk has three paid plans, each priced per agent. Every plan includes a ticketing system with a shared inbox, a customer portal with a knowledge base, reports and Freddy AI Agent. The plan sets the price of each seat and which team features you get.

The features are from the plan cards and the comparison table on Freshworks’ pricing page. Two of them matter more than they look for a small team. Putting your logo and brand colours on the customer portal starts on Pro, and so does translating your knowledge base into other languages. Growth’s automations cover follow-ups and escalations on time and event triggers, and helpdesk automation sets out which rules are worth setting up first when you answer support yourself.

Freshworks’ pricing article says each plan is charged per agent, before tax, and billed monthly, quarterly, half-yearly or yearly. A seat you add is charged pro rata for the rest of the billing cycle. To pay for fewer seats, you delete the extra agents first. An upgrade applies at once, while a downgrade or a cancellation waits for the end of your term, and the pricing page says there’s no cancellation fee.

Why some pages say Freshdesk starts at $15

Older figures are still about, some of them on Freshworks’ own site. Its price list, which says its prices are current as of 13 June 2025, gives Freshdesk Growth at $15 an agent a month billed yearly or $18 monthly, Pro at $49 or $59 and Enterprise at $79 or $95. It prices Freddy AI Agent sessions at $100 for a pack of 1,000.

The pricing page now has Growth at $19, Pro at $55 and Enterprise at $89 billed yearly, and sessions at $49 for a pack of 100. Its own search description still reads “Freshdesk pricing starts at $15”. Freshdesk Omni’s Growth plan is $29 billed yearly on both the list and the page, while its Pro has gone from $69 to $79 and its Enterprise from $109 to $119. Freshworks doesn’t say on these pages when the prices changed, so budget from the pricing page.

Freshdesk or Freshdesk Omni

Freshworks sells two helpdesks under the same three plan names. Its pricing article calls Freshdesk the email-first one, for teams that mainly support customers by email. Freshdesk Omni is the multichannel one, with email, chat, social media and more in one inbox.

Growth

An agent, billed yearly
$29
An agent, billed monthly
$35

Pro

An agent, billed monthly

Enterprise

An agent, billed yearly

The AI is where the two part ways. Freshworks’ add-ons article says the Email AI Agent comes with both, while the Chat AI Agent is only in Freshdesk Omni. Omni’s pricing page describes it answering on chat and messaging apps in over 60 languages. So if you want Freddy AI answering in a chat on your website, the Freshdesk you’re pricing is Omni, from $29 an agent a month billed yearly. Omni’s plans come with the same 500 free sessions and $49 packs, and its day passes cost more, at $5, $10 and $15 a day by plan. Freshchat, Freshworks’ live chat on its own, also includes Freddy AI Agent on its paid plans, and Freshchat pricing sets out what it costs.

The Free Program is Freshdesk’s alone. Freshworks says it isn’t available on Freshdesk Omni.

Is there a free Freshdesk plan?

Not one that lasts. Freshworks describes two free offers today, and both end.

  • A 14-day trial. The sign-up page says “No credit card required”, and the pricing page says the trial is the Enterprise plan. At the end you choose a plan and pay by card, or the account is suspended. Freshworks’ pricing article says you can ask its sales team to extend the trial.
  • The Free Program, for 6 months. Freshworks’ Free Program article, updated on 22 September 2026, says it’s free for 6 months with up to 2 agents, on Freshdesk only. It covers ticketing across email and social, ticket dispatch, a knowledge base, a ticket trends report, out-of-the-box reports and 24x5 email support. Past 2 agents or 6 months, you move to a paid plan, and once you’ve upgraded you can’t go back.

Moving from the trial to the Free Program loses some features and their settings, and Freshworks gives its 500 free AI sessions only with Growth, Pro and Enterprise. If you’ve read about a Freshdesk plan that’s free forever, that isn’t what Freshworks offers now. Free ticketing systems compares the helpdesks whose free plans do last.

Freddy AI pricing

Freddy AI comes in three parts. Freddy AI Agent answers your customers and is billed by the session, Freddy AI Copilot helps your agents and is billed per agent, and Freddy AI Insights comes with Enterprise or with Copilot.

Freddy AI Agent, billed by the session

Freddy AI Agent comes with Growth, Pro and Enterprise. The pricing page’s FAQ says the plans include 500 free sessions “to try out Freddy AI Agent”, and that this is “limited to once per account”. After that, sessions come in packs of 100 at $49 a pack, at the same price on any billing cycle.

A session is one customer’s time with the AI, not a resolution. On email, it’s a 72-hour window from the customer’s first email, however many replies the AI sends. On chat, which needs Omni, it’s everything within 24 hours of the conversation starting. Freshworks’ AI Agent Studio article sets out the rest of the rules.

  • Previewing an AI agent while you build it uses sessions, whether it’s published or not.
  • Packs are added for the current billing cycle, and unused sessions don’t carry over to the next.
  • A pack you add renews with each billing cycle until you reduce it, and a reduction takes effect from the next cycle.
  • You get an email at 70%, 80%, 90% and 100% of your sessions.
  • At 100%, the AI stops answering and chats go to your agents. On the self-service widget it simply stops, with no handover.
  • Auto-recharge, which you switch on yourself with online billing, adds packs when your sessions fall below a threshold, 50 by default.

AI help desks sets out how other helpdesks bill their AI agents, by resolution, outcome or credit. If you’d rather run another AI on Freshdesk, Fin AI pricing covers what Fin costs there.

Freddy AI Copilot, billed per agent

Freddy AI Copilot is $29 an agent a month billed yearly, or $35 monthly. It’s an add-on for Pro and Enterprise, and isn’t offered on Growth. You buy it for as many agents as you choose, not for the whole team, and it can’t go on a day pass. It ranks conversations by the customer’s sentiment, drafts and rewrites replies, translates conversations live in over 60 languages, sums up long threads and suggests similar tickets and solution articles.

Freddy AI Insights

Freddy AI Insights has no price of its own. The pricing page lists it on Enterprise, with alerts on key metrics and root cause analysis, and conversational insights, where you ask a question in your own words and get a visual answer or a new report. The add-ons article says that buying even one Copilot licence makes Insights available to every agent on the account, so on Pro it comes with Copilot.

Freshdesk add-ons

Beyond Freddy AI, the pricing page lists three more add-ons with public prices.

Freddy AI Agent sessions

What it’s for
More AI sessions once the free 500 are used, on every plan

Freddy AI Copilot

$29 an agent a month billed yearly, or $35 monthly

What Freshdesk costs a team of one to three

These are our sums from the pricing page, a month on yearly billing. The AI columns add one pack of 100 Freddy AI Agent sessions, $49, as a month would once the free 500 are used. The Omni rows are there because the AI that answers chat on your website is only in Omni. None include day passes, connector tasks or tax.

Monthly billing adds $4 an agent on Growth, $11 on Pro, $18 on Enterprise and $6 on Omni Growth, and $6 on each Copilot licence. Sessions cost the same either way. So two agents on Pro with Copilot and 100 sessions come to $251 a month on monthly billing, against $217 billed yearly.

For one person, the AI is the bigger line. On Growth, a month of 100 sessions costs more than two seats. At that rate the free 500 last about five months, and then the AI stops until you buy a pack or switch on auto-recharge. Two people on the Free Program pay nothing for 6 months, with no AI sessions.

Deacon, for a founder who doesn’t need a helpdesk

Freshdesk is priced for a support team, with a seat for every agent and packs of sessions for the AI. Early on, that team is usually a founder answering between everything else. Deacon is built for that founder. It answers the repeat questions on your site and brings you the rest.

You add one script tag and point Deacon at your docs, and its website chat widget answers your customers in seconds, at any hour and in their language. When your content doesn’t cover a question, it says it doesn’t know instead of guessing and asks for the visitor’s email. If they leave it or ask for a person, you get an email. Your reply from Deacon’s dashboard appears in their chat while it’s open, under your first name and your company’s.

Each question your docs missed gets an Answer this button. Every answer you write becomes part of what Deacon knows, so the more you answer, the less it needs you, which is how Deacon’s FAQ chatbot keeps getting better.

Freshdesk sells Freddy AI Insights with Enterprise or Copilot. Deacon shows you what customers need on every plan, the free one included. Topics group the questions, count the people asking and label most of them as a feature ask, a bug report, a how-to and so on, so you know what to fix and what to build next. That’s Deacon’s chatbot analytics.

You can try Deacon in the Playground as often as you like, because chats there are never counted. Every feature is on every plan. Free is 50 answers a month and 1 seat, with no card and no end date. Starter is $50 a month, or $40 a month billed yearly, for 1,000 answers a month and 3 seats. Deacon’s Growth plan is $150 a month, or $120 a month billed yearly, for 4,000 answers a month and 10 seats. Nothing is billed past your plan’s answers, and no plan upgrades itself.

Questions about Freshdesk pricing

Is Freshdesk free?

Not for good. Every account gets a 14-day trial of Enterprise with no card. After it, a Freshdesk account, though not a Freshdesk Omni one, can move to the Free Program, which is free for 6 months for up to 2 agents and gives no free AI sessions. After that, Freshdesk starts at $19 an agent a month billed yearly.

How much is Freshdesk per user?

Freshdesk charges per agent, from $19 a month on Growth billed yearly to $107 on Enterprise billed monthly, and the bill counts every agent in your account. Pro and Enterprise include up to 5,000 collaborators, outside people you bring into a ticket. For someone who helps now and then, a day pass costs $2 on Growth, $7 on Pro and $12 on Enterprise.

Does Freshdesk charge for Freddy AI?

Yes, after the first 500 sessions. Freddy AI Agent then costs $49 for every 100 sessions, whether or not the AI solved anything in them. Freddy AI Copilot is $29 an agent a month billed yearly, or $35 monthly, on Pro and Enterprise.

Can I pay for Freshdesk monthly?

Yes. Freshworks bills monthly, quarterly, half-yearly or yearly, and by our sums yearly billing costs about a sixth less than monthly on every plan. There’s no cancellation fee, but a cancellation or a downgrade takes effect at the end of your term.

How does Freshdesk pricing compare with Zendesk?

Both charge per agent and bill their AI by use, but they count it differently. Freshdesk bills each session the AI takes part in, and Zendesk’s pricing page says it bills each automated resolution, a request the AI resolved without passing it to a person. Zendesk vs Freshdesk sets the two side by side, Zendesk pricing breaks down Zendesk’s plans the way this page does Freshdesk’s, and Zendesk AI pricing covers its AI. Intercom pricing breaks down Intercom’s bill the same way.

Can Deacon replace Freshdesk for a small team?

If your support is mostly customers asking on your site what your docs already answer, yes. Deacon answers them and brings you the conversations that need a person. It isn’t a helpdesk, though. It has no tickets and no shared inbox, and it doesn’t answer email. There’s no WhatsApp, SMS or phone, and no integrations with other tools. It always declines questions about a visitor’s own account. Freshdesk alternatives compares other tools for a small team.
