COMPARISON

Voiceflow alternatives, priced in public

Voiceflow’s pricing page shows no prices, so comparing it means signing up. What its documentation says about credits, beside six tools that print theirs.

Published

Voiceflow’s pricing page had no prices on it when we read it on 20 September 2026. It sends agencies to sign up and businesses to book a demo. It names no plan, price or allowance. The other vendors’ prices were read the same day.

Voiceflow shows its prices inside the product

There are four plans, Free, Pro, Business and Enterprise, and Voiceflow’s billing documentation gives a price for none of them. Current prices for plans, add-ons and credit bundles are shown inside Voiceflow, under Plans and Billing, so seeing them means signing up.

An April 2025 post on Voiceflow’s site has older prices and a free tier whose credits renew each month. The current documentation says free credits do not renew. We have left the post’s figures out.

Voiceflow says its free plan is not for production

Free is for trying Voiceflow out. Its credits are a one-time grant that does not renew, and the billing documentation says the plan is not suitable for production usage. Paid plans get a monthly allotment that resets each billing cycle, in an amount the pages do not give.

A chat message costs $0.005, and the reply is charged again

On self-serve plans, every message a user sends costs $0.005, per Voiceflow’s credits table. The model’s reply is charged on top, per thousand tokens in and out, at a rate that depends on the model. Phone calls cost $0.05 a minute.

No page says what a visitor sees at zero credits

Automatic top-ups are off until you turn them on. With them on, credits are bought when your balance hits zero and nothing is charged before then, Voiceflow’s page on managing a subscription says. With them off, no page we read says what a chat visitor sees once the credits are gone.

Phone agents are the exception. Voiceflow’s changelog for 11 August 2026 says calls are declined when an organisation is out of credits.

Botpress is also a chatbot builder, and its bill is in Botpress alternatives. Tidio sells its AI agent apart from its plans, and the sums are in Tidio alternatives.

Deacon

We make Deacon. Its plans and prices are on the pricing page and need no account to read. Like Botpress and Tidio, it opens on yearly billing, and the Monthly switch shows the monthly price. The unit is an answer, which is one reply Deacon writes.

It is free for 50 answers a month on one seat, and the 50 renew each month. A live site can stay on the free plan. There is no canvas to build on.

Phone and SMS agents are Voiceflow’s ground, with SMS marked as beta in its documentation. Voiceflow’s integrations page says an agent can create a Zendesk ticket or update a Salesforce record in the middle of a conversation. Deacon does neither.

Questions for the demo call

Voiceflow’s sales team can answer what its pages do not.

  1. How many credits a month does Pro include, and what does Pro cost on monthly billing?
  2. How many editor seats come with the plan? The documentation says paid plans include some and sell more.
  3. What does a website visitor see when the credits run out and top-ups are off?
  4. What does a credit bundle cost, and does an unused bundle carry over?

Try it on your own documentation

Add your help pages, ask it the question you know your docs cannot answer, and watch it say so.

The free plan covers 50 answers a month on one seat, and the paid plans are on the pricing page.
