Lovable pricing, plans and what credits buy
Lovable's free, Pro and Business plans read on 25 September 2026, what a credit buys, what a live app costs to run, and what a real build costs.
Published
Lovable pricing starts with a free plan, then Pro and Business, each sold in credit sizes from 100 a month upward, and an Enterprise plan priced by contract. Pro's smallest size is $25 a month for 100 credits, or $250 a year, which works out at $21 a month. One credit balance pays for three things at once: building your app, running it on Lovable Cloud, and any AI features your app calls at runtime. We read every figure on Lovable's pricing page and in its subscription plans and credits and usage docs on 25 September 2026, served in US dollars.
Deacon is ours. It's an AI customer support agent for founders who answer support themselves. It answers your app's visitors in seconds from your own docs, and the same script shows you where they came from. Its answers come from your Deacon plan, not your Lovable credits, and there's a free plan that needs no card.
Lovable pricing plans
Pro and Business are both sold in credit tiers, so the price below is each plan's smallest tier. Larger tiers cost more and give you more credits a month, up to 10,000.

Free, Pro and Business all include a daily chat allowance, a monthly Cloud grant of 20 credits and a monthly AI grant of 4 credits, on top of whatever plan credits you're paying for. Business costs twice Pro for the same tier of credits, and Lovable's own FAQ says that's for the added governance and controls, not because running your app or its AI features costs more there: a Business credit is worth twice a Pro one, so the same action there uses half as many credits. Lovable's FAQ adds that a credit's value "depend[s] on your subscription plan and the feature used" generally, so it's worth checking the plan you're actually on. If you're weighing Lovable against the field, the best vibe coding tools ranks nine of them, and Lovable alternatives goes through why a founder might look past it.
What a credit buys, and what burns them
Lovable's project chat has three modes, and only two of them are billed as building.
- Plan mode costs 1 credit a message, plus the cost of any research Lovable runs while planning. It never changes your code, so it's for thinking an idea through first.
- Build mode is the one that changes your app, and its cost depends on how complex the request is. Lovable's own examples: making a button grey costs 0.50 credits, removing a footer 0.90, adding sign up and login 1.20, and a landing page with three generated images 1.70.
- Chat mode, in Lovable's separate Chats feature and in Slack or Telegram, is priced differently again: a per-message price, "typically a fraction of a credit", that draws on a daily chat allowance first, then your daily build credits, then your general credits. Lovable calls this pricing a temporary offering that runs through 31 October 2026.
Base44 keeps building and running apart in two separate credit types; Base44 pricing has the split. Lovable's single balance covers building, hosting and AI features together, so a busy live app and a busy afternoon of building draw on the same credits.
What runs on top once your app is live
Once you publish, two more things spend from the same balance.
- Cloud costs are Lovable's built-in backend: your database's size and instance, storage for files, network traffic, background compute and any realtime features such as chat or live updates. They draw on the monthly 20-credit Cloud grant first, then your general credits. Lovable's pricing page says most small or new apps stay inside the included grant, and that cost only shows up once an app reaches real traffic or size.
- AI gateway costs cover AI features your published app calls at runtime, such as a chatbot you built inside it. Each call is priced by the model and the tokens it uses, drawing on the monthly 4-credit AI grant first, then general credits.
- Custom domains need Pro or Business. On Free, your app stays on a lovable.app address.

Install DeaconThree months on Lovable, worked out
These are our estimates, from Lovable's own example costs and grants, not a guarantee of what you'll spend.
A weekend MVP, on Free. Free's build credits are a daily grant, not a pool, so a weekend gives you at most three days of it, 15 credits. That's enough for one landing page with images (1.70), a sign up and login flow (1.20), and half a dozen smaller changes at 0.50 to 0.90 each, roughly 4 to 5 credits more. Push past that and building pauses until the next day's grant lands, or the 1st of the month once you've used all 30 of Free's monthly build credits.
A month of steady building, on Pro. 100 credits a month, at $25, covers roughly 60 to 80 Build mode messages at Lovable's own middle example cost of 1.20, plus a Plan mode message here and there at 1 credit each. Unused credits roll over to next month as long as you stay subscribed, so a quiet month banks credit for a busier one.
A live app with a support chatbot, on Pro. Once you publish, the monthly 20-credit Cloud grant and 4-credit AI grant cover a small app's hosting and a handful of AI replies for free. A chatbot answering real volumes uses more of the AI grant than 4 credits gives you in a month, so those replies start drawing on your general credits, the same balance you build with. A busy week of questions can leave you short of credits to keep building.
What happens when Lovable credits run out
- Building stops. Lovable shows a blocking dialog until you add credits, and pauses any message it was mid-way through so you can resume it later.
- Chats and Chat mode keep working until the daily chat allowance runs out for the day, since that allowance doesn't depend on your credit balance.
- AI features in your published app stop working, because they need credits at the moment they run.
- Backend services such as your database, storage and sign-in pause shortly after your workspace has no credits left at all.
- A Pro top-up costs $15 for 50 credits, $0.30 a credit. On Business it's $30 for 50, $0.60 a credit. Auto top-up can buy more automatically at a threshold you set.
What a launched Lovable app still needs
Once people use what you built, they'll have questions, and you'll want to know where they came from. Lovable's guide to building a chatbot has you write the fallback, the alert for when someone needs a person, and the review of what people asked, and every reply it writes spends the same credits you build with. The Lovable chatbot guide goes through what that costs to run.
Deacon does both from one script tag, on its own plan. It answers your app's visitors in seconds from your own docs, at any hour, and in whatever language they write in. When your docs don't cover a question, it says it doesn't know instead of guessing and asks for their email. You get an email when someone leaves an address or asks for a person, and a reply you type in Deacon's dashboard shows up in their chat while it's open. Questions it couldn't answer wait for you with an Answer this button, and what you write becomes part of what Deacon knows, so it needs you less over time.
The same script counts your visitors, where they came from, and your sign-up goals, so there's no second script to add.
Deacon on a Lovable app
Adding Deacon costs no Lovable credits beyond the one message that asks Lovable to paste the tag. On the Install page, list the address your app is published on, a lovable.app address on Free, since custom domains need Pro or Business. Copy your script tag, paste it into the Lovable project chat and ask Lovable to add it just before the closing body tag on every page, then publish. Deacon and Lovable has the full steps.
Every feature is on every Deacon plan. Free is 50 answers a month and 1 seat, with no card and no end date. Starter is $50 a month, or $40 a month billed yearly, for 1,000 answers a month and 3 seats. Growth is $150 a month, or $120 a month billed yearly, for 4,000 answers a month and 10 seats. Nothing is billed past a plan's answers, no plan upgrades itself, and there's no "powered by" line to pay to remove.
Questions about Lovable pricing
Is Lovable free?
Yes. Lovable's Free plan gives you 5 build credits a day, up to 30 a month, plus 20 Cloud credits and 4 AI feature credits a month, with no card needed. What it holds back is editing code directly, a custom domain, downloading your code and removing the "Edit with Lovable" badge.
How much does Lovable cost a month?
Pro starts at $25 a month for 100 credits, or $21 a month billed yearly, and goes up to 10,000 credits at $2,250 a month. Business starts at $50 a month for 100 credits, or $42 billed yearly, up to 10,000 credits at $4,300 a month. Enterprise is priced by contract.
Do Lovable credits roll over?
Monthly plan credits do, automatically, as long as you keep paying. They expire 2 months after they're issued on monthly billing, or 1 month after your annual period ends. Daily build credits, the monthly Cloud grant and the monthly AI grant don't roll over; each expires at the end of its own day or month.
Can I buy more Lovable credits?
Yes, on Pro or Business. A one-time top-up is $15 for 50 credits on Pro or $30 for 50 on Business, and top-up credits last 12 months. Free workspaces can't buy top-ups and wait for the next day's or month's grant instead.
Who owns the code Lovable writes?
You do. Lovable's pricing FAQ says you own the apps, websites and other projects you build, along with any AI output. Git sync to GitHub, GitLab or Bitbucket is on every plan, Free included, and downloading your code outright needs Pro or Business.
Does Deacon use my Lovable credits?
No. Deacon counts only its own answers, on its own plan, and adding its script tag costs no more than the one Lovable message it takes to paste it in. Deacon's free plan has 50 answers a month with no card, and it works on a lovable.app address, so you don't need a paid Lovable plan to add it.
