Wonderchat pricing, and what its credits cover
Wonderchat’s plans under every name they go by, priced on 23 September 2026, with what a credit pays for, what stops at the limit and a founder’s month.
Published
Wonderchat has a free plan and three paid ones. Free gives you 20 credits. Basic is $149 a month, or $124 a month billed yearly, for 5,000 credits a month. Scale is $499 a month, or $417 billed yearly, for 25,000 by its card (one table says 15,000), and Enterprise “Starts at $1499”. Every figure here was read on Wonderchat’s own pages on 23 September 2026, starting with its pricing page.
A reply costs 1 credit on Wonderchat’s default model and up to 10 on its biggest ones, and when the credits run out, the chatbot stops responding. Below are the plans under each of their names, what a credit pays for, what happens at the limit and what a founder’s month costs.
Deacon is an AI customer support agent for founders who answer support themselves. It counts answers, one for each reply, on the same model on every plan, and its free plan gives you 50 answers a month with every feature, no card and no end date.

The yearly totals are our arithmetic, and the page puts the saving at 17%. Basic holds 3 million characters of knowledge and Scale 12 million. The Free, Basic and Scale cards all carry the same “Start 7-day Free Trial” button, and we found nothing on what happens to a free account after seven days.
Why the plans go by different names
The same plan goes by different names depending on where you look. The pricing page opens on its Support Agent view, where the $124 plan is Basic. Switch to the Conversion Agent view and the same price and credits are called Growth. On the support view, the comparison table under the cards calls the $417 plan Turbo and lists 15,000 credits for it, where the card, the conversion view’s table and Wonderchat’s upgrade FAQ all say 25,000.
So if a review site gives you plan names or prices you can’t find here, go by the pricing page.
What a Wonderchat credit pays for
“A message credit represents one AI-generated response from your chatbot,” says Wonderchat’s credits guide, and a bigger model spends more of them. Its model guide gives each model’s rate, from 1 credit a reply on the default, GPT-5.6 Luna, to 10 on the most powerful. This is how many replies each plan buys at those rates, by our arithmetic.
| Credits a reply | Some models at that rate | Free, 20 credits | Basic, 5,000 | Scale, 25,000 |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | GPT-5.6 Luna, the default, and DeepSeek V4 Flash | 20 | 5,000 | 25,000 |
| 2 | Claude Haiku | 10 | 2,500 | 12,500 |
| 5 | GPT-5.6 Terra, GPT-4o, DeepSeek V4 Pro, Claude Sonnet | 4 | 1,000 | 5,000 |
| 10 | GPT-5.6 Sol, GPT-5.5, Claude Opus | 2 | 500 | 2,500 |

Some models also need a bigger plan. The model guide puts GPT-4o and DeepSeek V4 Pro on Basic and up, and Claude Sonnet and Claude Opus on Scale and up. A second setting moves the rate as well. Answer depth lets the chatbot search more of your content for each answer, and each of its presets “shows its per-message credit cost”, Wonderchat’s technical FAQ says.
Wonderchat’s own estimates don’t agree with each other. The pricing FAQ says a conversation uses “around 10 credits on average”, which puts Basic at about 500 conversations a month and Free at about 2. The cards promise “~1,000 resolutions / month” on Basic, “~5,000” on Scale and “~10” on Free, which works out at 5, 5 and 2 credits each. And the Basic card’s “≈ $0.12” a resolution is the yearly price over 1,000. It stays the same when you switch to monthly billing, where $149 over 1,000 is about $0.15.
The pages also disagree on what spends a credit. A note beside the free plan’s credits says they’re used “when your AI agent sends messages, scans pages, or processes content”. The credits guide says training the chatbot and uploading documents cost nothing, and that credits go “when the AI generates a response in a live or test conversation”, so trying out your own chatbot spends them too. Credits reset on your monthly billing date, and “Unused credits expire at the end of your billing period.”
What happens when Wonderchat’s credits run out
At the limit, “the chatbot will stop responding”, Wonderchat’s pricing FAQ says. You get a notification, and your visitors get no answers until you buy more credits, move up a plan or reach your next billing date. The credits guide adds that “Overage billing will apply”, but we couldn’t find a rate anywhere on Wonderchat’s pages.
More credits cost $29.99 for 1,000, which the pricing page calls “a one-time fee”, bought in your dashboard. On Basic’s monthly price, that’s about what a credit costs inside the plan.
Moving up a plan bills the full price at once. The upgrade FAQ’s example is Basic to Scale, which charges $499 on the day, carries your unused credits across and moves your billing date to a month from the upgrade.
Leaving costs you what you’ve paid. Wonderchat’s terms give no refund when you cancel, “regardless of the reason”, and a cancellation takes effect at the end of the billing period. You have 90 days after the account ends to ask for a copy of your data.
What each Wonderchat plan leaves out
The free card lists a human handover and one AI agent. The comparison table below it crosses out AI agents, team seats, live chat, human handover, email escalation, lead capture, chat logs and every analytics row for Free. It ticks chat history, website crawling, document uploads and WhatsApp.
Basic brings live chat, the human handover and email escalation, along with chat logs, FAQ clustering, gap analysis, and HubSpot, Zapier and Shopify. Wonderchat’s live chat guide has you set opening hours and how many messages a visitor sends before the Live Chat button appears.
Scale adds escalation to Zendesk and Freshdesk, a voice agent, your past support tickets as a source of answers, and the Claude Sonnet and Opus models. Enterprise adds single sign-on, an SMS agent, Microsoft Teams, Salesforce and Dynamics 365.
No self-serve plan removes the badge. Asked whether you can remove “Powered by Wonderchat”, the technical FAQ answers, “We do not currently offer this as an option for our retail plans,” and asks you to get in touch.
Try Deacon for free
Install DeaconWhat a founder’s month costs on Wonderchat
Take a site with one founder answering support and 300 conversations a month. Deacon measured 1.95 replies a conversation over 1,053 conversations on 22 September 2026, so call it 2, and the month is 600 replies. A busier month of 1,000 conversations is 2,000 replies.
Each bill below is the cheapest mix of a paid plan and credit packs on monthly billing, worked out by us from Wonderchat’s pricing page. Wonderchat doesn’t say whether the free plan can buy packs, so every bill starts from a paid plan.
| Model, and its credits a reply | 600 replies | 2,000 replies |
|---|---|---|
| GPT-5.6 Luna, 1 | $149, on Basic | $149, on Basic |
| GPT-5.6 Terra, 5 | $149, on Basic | $298.95, Basic and 5,000 extra credits |
| GPT-5.6 Sol, 10 | $178.99, Basic and 1,000 extra credits | $499, on Scale |
GPT-5.6 Luna, 1
- $149, on Basic
- $149, on Basic
GPT-5.6 Terra, 5
- $149, on Basic
- $298.95, Basic and 5,000 extra credits
GPT-5.6 Sol, 10
- $178.99, Basic and 1,000 extra credits
- $499, on Scale
Free’s 20 credits cover none of these months. They’re 20 replies at most. Wonderchat’s own estimate of 10 credits a conversation lands on the middle row, at $149 for the quieter month and $298.95 for the busier one. The Sol bill at 2,000 replies assumes Scale’s 25,000 credits. If the table’s 15,000 were right, Scale would need five packs, at $648.95, and Basic with fifteen packs would be cheaper, at $598.85.
None of these bills removes the badge, since no self-serve plan does. On yearly billing, Basic is $124 a month and Scale $417.
What the same month costs on Deacon
Deacon charges one price for a month of answers, and an answer is one reply. There’s no model to choose, because every plan answers with the same one, so the number on your plan is the number of replies your visitors get.
The quieter month, 600 replies, fits in Starter’s 1,000 answers a month, at $50 a month or $40 a month billed yearly. The busier one, 2,000 replies, fits in Growth’s 4,000, at $150 a month or $120 a month billed yearly. A conversation takes about 2 answers, so that’s about 500 conversations on Starter and 2,000 on Growth. Chats you try in the Playground never count, so testing Deacon on your own questions costs nothing.
The free plan is the whole product. It gives you 50 answers a month for one person, with no card, no trial clock and no end date, and nothing on it is deleted if you go quiet. Handing a chat to yourself, the full conversation history and the analytics are all on it, because every feature is on every plan.
If a month’s answers run out, your visitors still hear back. Each one gets a short reply saying Deacon can’t look into that one right now, and is asked for their email unless they’ve left it already in that conversation. Nothing more is billed, no plan upgrades itself, and every owner is emailed at 80% and again at 100% of the month’s answers. There’s no “powered by” line on any plan, so there’s nothing to pay to remove.
Where Deacon fits a founder answering support
Wonderchat is built for support teams and sales teams, with escalation to helpdesks, a voice agent and single sign-on up its plans. Deacon is built for the founder who answers support alone and would rather be building. It answers your customers from your own docs in seconds, day and night and in their language, and it shows you what they’re stuck on and what they want next.
It goes on your site as one script tag, and it learns from your help pages, your files or text you paste in. Deacon answers only from what your content says, and when that doesn’t cover a question, it says it doesn’t know and asks for the visitor’s email. You’re emailed when someone leaves an address or asks for a person, and your reply from the dashboard appears in their chat while they still have it open.
Deacon also gets better the more you answer. Every question your docs didn’t cover gets an Answer this button, and when you press Save & check, Deacon asks itself the question again and shows you the reply it now gives. Each answer you write becomes part of what Deacon knows, so it needs you less over time.
The customer insights start on the free plan too. Every conversation is kept in full and searchable by what visitors asked. Topics group the product questions, count how many people asked and label most of them, as a feature ask, a bug report, a how-to and so on. Analytics › Widget shows the messages, the people, the share Deacon answered and the languages people wrote in, and the same script gives you website analytics, with visitors, sources, goals and funnels.
Which one fits you
Wonderchat suits a team that wants WhatsApp on every plan, a voice agent or helpdesk escalation on Scale, or single sign-on and HIPAA on Enterprise, and that can live with its badge. Its first paid plan is Basic, at $149 a month or $124 billed yearly.
If you answer support yourself, Deacon is the one built for you. It answers your customers in seconds from your docs, hands you only the questions that need you and shows you what they want next, with handoff and analytics on the free plan. Deacon answers only in a chat on your website, so if you need WhatsApp, SMS or a voice agent, Wonderchat covers them. We’ve priced Chatling the same way in Chatling pricing, and compared eight tools against Wonderchat in Wonderchat alternatives.
Questions about Wonderchat pricing
Is Wonderchat free?
Wonderchat has a free plan with 20 credits, 50 stored web pages and, on its card, one AI agent, and the card doesn’t say whether the credits renew. At the pricing FAQ’s estimate of around 10 credits a conversation, that’s about 2 conversations. The free card’s button reads “Start 7-day Free Trial”, and live chat, handover, chat logs and analytics are crossed out for Free in the comparison table.
How much does Wonderchat cost a year?
Basic is $124 a month billed yearly, which is $1,488 a year, and Scale is $417 a month, or $5,004 a year, by our arithmetic. Billed monthly, they’re $149 and $499. Enterprise “Starts at $1499”, through sales.
Does Wonderchat charge overage?
Its credits guide says “Overage billing will apply” when you run out, without giving a rate, while the pricing FAQ says the chatbot stops responding until you buy credits or upgrade. Extra credits cost $29.99 for 1,000.
Can I get a refund from Wonderchat?
No. Its terms say Wonderchat “does not provide refunds to users who request cancellation of Services, regardless of the reason for the request”. A cancellation takes effect at the end of the billing period you’ve paid for.
Can I remove “Powered by Wonderchat”?
Not on its self-serve plans. Wonderchat’s technical FAQ says it doesn’t offer this on its retail plans and asks you to contact it.
Is Deacon’s free plan a trial?
No. It has no end date and needs no card. It gives you 50 answers a month for one person, with every feature, handoff and analytics included, and nothing on it is deleted if you go quiet. Starter and Growth add answers, knowledge, crawled pages and seats, not features.
