COMPARISON
Hiver pricing per user, in Gmail or Hiver Omni
Hiver’s Growth, Pro and Elite prices per user, its 2-seat start, AI at $0.80 a resolution, Voice, and what 2 to 10 seats cost, read 12 October 2026.
Published
Hiver is priced per user, per month, and every plan starts at 2 seats. Growth costs $25 a user a month on annual billing, or $35 on monthly billing. Pro is $55 or $65, and Elite is $85 or $95. Those prices are the same whether your team works in Hiver inside Gmail or in Hiver Omni, its standalone app. On top of the seats, Hiver charges $0.80 for each automated AI resolution, and Omni sells Voice as an add-on at $30 a voice seat a month. We read every figure in US dollars on hiverhq.com on 12 October 2026.
Deacon is our product, and it isn’t an inbox. It’s an AI customer support agent that answers visitors on your website from your own docs, in seconds, before their questions become email, and it shows you what customers keep asking about. It suits a founder who answers support alone, and the free plan needs no card.
Hiver’s three plans
Hiver’s two pricing pages, one for Hiver in Gmail and one for Hiver Omni, show the same three plans at the same prices. Each plan includes everything on the one below it.
| Plan | A user a month, annual billing | A user a month, monthly billing | How you start | What the plan adds |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Growth | $25 | $35 | Free trial | AI Agents, AI Copilot, Skills and AI Knowledge Builder, a shared inbox with ticketing, rule-based automations, pre-built analytics, basic integrations such as Slack, and round-the-clock support from Hiver |
| Pro | $55 | $65 | Book a demo | A customer portal, SLAs, CSAT surveys, advanced analytics, premium integrations such as Salesforce, HubSpot and NetSuite, and API access |
| Elite | $85 | $95 | Book a demo | AI QA, AI Insights and Customer Intelligence, skill-based routing, custom objects, rules that move email from personal inboxes into shared ones, and SSO, HIPAA and custom roles |

The pages switch between Annual and Monthly without printing a discount. By our sums, annual billing takes about 29% off Growth ($25 against $35), about 15% off Pro ($55 against $65) and about 11% off Elite ($85 against $95). So the cheaper the plan, the more the annual price saves.
Each page also has a plan comparison, and its usage limits are the ones that decide which plan a small team needs.

Growth stops at 10 users, so a team of 11 or more needs Pro or Elite.
Seats come in steps, from 2
Hiver’s FAQ says “All Hiver plans start at 2 seats. You can increase from 2 to 5, and then in increments of 5 seats (10, 15, 20, and so on).” A founder answering support alone still pays for 2 seats, which on Growth is $50 a month on annual billing or $70 monthly. The FAQ doesn’t say whether you can stop at 3 or 4 seats on the way to 5, so the table further down prices the steps it names.
Hiver in Gmail or Hiver Omni
The two products cost the same, and they differ in where your team works.
- Hiver in Gmail is a Chrome extension that runs on top of your Gmail or Google Workspace account, and Hiver’s FAQ says you need one of those to use it. Your team manages shared inboxes such as support@ from inside Gmail. Its Growth card lists a help centre, external for customers or internal for your team.
- Hiver Omni is a standalone platform that works with Gmail, Outlook and other email providers. It brings email, live chat, Slack, voice, WhatsApp and social channels into one workspace. Its comparison ticks live chat on every plan, while Slack as a channel and the customer portal start on Pro.
Hiver’s own advice is to choose Hiver in Gmail if Gmail is your team’s home base and most support happens over email, and Omni if you handle several channels or don’t use Gmail. Voice appears as an add-on only on Omni’s pricing page.
What Hiver’s AI costs
Growth’s card lists AI Agents, AI Copilot, Skills and AI Knowledge Builder, so every plan has them, and a separate AI Agents card is marked “All plans”. Hiver says its AI agents set up from your help articles, connected tools and past conversations, can look up orders, issue refunds and update records across your systems, and pause for approval on actions you mark sensitive.
The pricing pages print no price for the AI. The figure is in the FAQ on Hiver’s Front comparison, which says “Automated AI resolutions are priced separately at $0.80 per resolution.” None of the pages we read says what counts as a resolution or whether you can cap them, so ask Hiver before you switch the agents on.
| Hiver AI | What Hiver says it does | Plans |
|---|---|---|
| AI Agents | Resolves requests end to end, analyses conversations and automates customer operations | Every plan, with $0.80 for each automated resolution |
| AI Copilot | Drafts replies for your team, surfaces answers and suggests next steps | Every plan |
| Skills | Step-by-step procedures the AI follows to resolve complex requests across your tools | Every plan |
| AI Knowledge Builder | Spots missing knowledge and suggests updates to your help centre, Notion and other sources | Every plan |
| AI QA | Scores your team’s replies and flags gaps for coaching | Elite |
| AI Insights | Sorts conversations into topics and subtopics to show recurring issues | Elite, marked coming soon in Omni’s comparison |
| Customer Intelligence | Watches sentiment, account health and churn signals | Elite, marked coming soon on both pages |

One line doesn’t agree with the plan cards. The same FAQ says Copilot, QA, Insights and other AI capabilities are included across plans, while both pricing pages put AI QA and AI Insights on Elite only. If you need either on Growth or Pro, get it confirmed in writing.
Voice, Hiver Omni’s add-on
Voice handles inbound and outbound calls beside your other conversations. Omni’s pricing page sells it at $30 a voice seat a month on any plan, with 1,000 minutes for each voice seat included every month. The minutes are pooled across your voice seats, and extra minutes cost $0.03 each. Call recordings and transcripts, AI call summaries and call notes come with it. Two voice seats, for example, add $60 a month and share 2,000 minutes.
Hiver’s 7-day trial and discounts
Neither pricing page shows a free plan on its plan cards. The free trial gives you Elite for 7 days, and the FAQ says you don’t need a credit card until you upgrade. If you don’t pick a plan by the end, the account is suspended, and you can bring it back by upgrading within 7 days of the trial ending.
Hiver offers discounted pricing to qualified nonprofit organisations, and asks you to book a demo to learn more. It also says it will help you move from another helpdesk at no extra cost. If you’d rather start on a plan that’s free for good, free ticketing systems covers the help desks with free plans and the open source ones you host yourself.

AI resolutions go on top of any row. If Hiver’s agents settle 100 conversations in a month, that adds $80, so the 2-seat minimum on Growth with annual billing comes to $130. Voice adds $30 for each voice seat on Omni.
For a founder working out of Gmail, the row to read is Growth at 2 seats. That’s $600 a year on annual billing before any AI resolutions, for a shared inbox, AI Agents and Copilot, and up to 10 people later. If you need SLAs or a customer portal, price Pro, and if you need SSO or HIPAA, price Elite.
Help Scout pricing and Front pricing work through two other shared inboxes the same way, seat by seat and with their AI on top. AI help desks shows how eleven helpdesks bill the AI that answers customers, and customer support tools sets shared inboxes beside the other kinds of tool a small team buys.
If you answer support alone from Gmail
Hiver is priced for a team sharing an address like support@, and its smallest account is 2 seats, $50 a month on Growth with annual billing, even when you’re the only one replying. Before paying for the second seat, look at what fills the inbox. When you answer support yourself, the hours tend to go on the same questions, and the answers are usually in your docs already. That’s the part Deacon takes on, on your website, before anything reaches Gmail.
| What you’re weighing | Hiver | Deacon |
|---|---|---|
| The smallest account | 2 seats, from $50 a month on Growth with annual billing | A free plan for 1 seat with 50 answers a month, no card and no end date |
| How the AI that answers customers is billed | AI Agents, with $0.80 for each automated resolution on top of the seats | Answers counted on the plan, about 2 to a conversation, and nothing billed once a month’s answers are used |
| Where it works | Inside Gmail, or in Hiver Omni across email, chat, Slack, voice, WhatsApp and social | A chat widget on your website, added with one script tag |
| Filling gaps in what the AI knows | AI Knowledge Builder recommends updates to your help centre, Notion and other sources | Each question it couldn’t answer has an Answer this button, and the answer you write becomes a source |
| Seeing what customers ask about | AI Insights, on Elite | Topics, on every plan, the free one included |
| When a person has to step in | A shared inbox with assignment, and SLAs from Pro | Your reply from the dashboard appears in the visitor’s open chat |

- Your reply from the dashboard appears in the visitor’s open chat
The table hides the biggest difference, which is where the work happens. Hiver sorts email after it arrives. Deacon’s knowledge base chatbot answers a visitor in seconds, at any hour and in whatever language they write, from the pages, files and text you give it. A question it answers there doesn’t have to become an email. When your content doesn’t cover one, it says so rather than guessing, and asks the visitor for their email so you can follow up.
The way you teach it is different too. Hiver’s Knowledge Builder recommends content updates for you to make. In Deacon, you press Answer this beside the question that was missed, write the reply once and press Save & check. Deacon asks itself the question again and shows the reply it now gives, and when that works it lists other open questions the same answer settles. Over the weeks, that leaves fewer questions waiting for you.
Some visitors will still want you. Asking for a person or leaving an address puts the conversation in front of you in the dashboard at once, and the owners hear by email about three minutes later if nobody on the team is looking. Human handoff shows how your reply reaches the visitor’s chat, signed with your first name and your company’s.
The plans change only answers, knowledge, pages read from your site and seats, and every feature, Topics included, is on all of them. Starter costs $50 a month, or $40 a month billed yearly, for 1,000 answers a month and 3 seats. Deacon’s Growth plan costs $150 a month, or $120 a month billed yearly, for 4,000 answers a month and 10 seats. You move up a plan only when you choose to, and the widget carries no “powered by” line on any of them.
Hiver pricing questions
Does Hiver have a free plan?
Not one you can pick on its pricing pages. The plan cards show only Growth, Pro and Elite, and the way in is a 7-day trial of Elite with no credit card. The pages’ code still lists a Free offer at $0, and the FAQ in that code says you can “choose the free plan” after the trial, but the FAQ you can read on the page only says an account that isn’t upgraded is suspended. Ask Hiver whether a free plan still exists before you count on one.
How much does Hiver cost for one person?
Every plan starts at 2 seats, so one person on Growth pays $50 a month on annual billing, or $70 monthly. Automated AI resolutions add $0.80 each.
Is Hiver in Gmail priced differently from Hiver Omni?
No. Both pricing pages show Growth at $25 or $35 a user, Pro at $55 or $65 and Elite at $85 or $95, annual or monthly. What differs is where you work and which channels you get, and Voice is sold on Omni’s page.
Does Hiver charge extra for AI?
For AI resolutions, yes. AI Agents and AI Copilot are listed on every plan, and Hiver’s Front comparison says automated AI resolutions are priced separately at $0.80 each. AI QA and AI Insights sit on Elite on both pricing pages.
Can I pay for Hiver monthly?
Yes, on every plan, at $35, $65 and $95 a user against $25, $55 and $85 on annual billing.
Is Deacon a Hiver alternative?
For part of what Hiver does. When support starts on your website and you’re the one answering, Deacon handles the questions your docs cover before anyone writes to support@, and brings you the rest. Running that inbox is beyond it. Deacon never connects to Gmail or reads your email, and there are no tickets, assignment or SLAs in it, and no phone, WhatsApp or SMS. Nor does it act in other systems, so refunds and order lookups stay with you, and questions about a visitor’s own account are always declined. The two can sit side by side, with Deacon on your site and a shared inbox such as Hiver once a second person answers your email.
